29th - In Quires and Places... A concert with The Rivelin Singers Directed by Frasher Wilson. St Ives Parish Church 7.30pm. Tickets £5.00 in advance (£6.00 at the door) available from the St Ives Tourist Information Centre (Guildhall).
30th - 1st August - Heyl Fest. A long established festival which brings together the diverse community of this lively town. Events include a Children’s Day, the Rose and Cabbage Show, a community market, Lion’s Fun Day and St Julia’s Hospice Day.
31st - Hayle Carnival & Civic Parade. 7pm starting ay Hayle Recreation Ground with procession throughout Hayle.

7th - 8th - Summer Fine Food, Art and Craft Fair, Trereife Park, nr Newlyn, 10am- 5pm. With a large marquee of art and craft stalls on the tennis lawn, and a selection of fine food stalls in the cobbled stable area of the house, you can expect an array of attractions, plus a variety of entertainment for children, with craft workshops, traditional fair ground and donkey rides. 14th - 22nd - Mining Villages Festival. The mining villages festival is a programme of events organised by villages steeped in the history and culture of Cornish mining but each with its own distict character. The festival is a chance for visitors and residents alike to explore and find out more about these fascinating communities. 19th - 22nd - Flower Festival. The church of St Anthony in Meneage will be open from 10.00am - 5.00pm and refreshments will be available. The church is situated on the edge of Gillan Creek on the South West Coastal Path, near the mouth of the Helford River.
21st - 22nd - Design Fair, Trereife Park, Nr Newlyn, Cornwall, 10am-5pm. The event is a true celebration of the quality and diversity of contemporary Cornish design and offers the public a fantastic chance to buy direct from the maker. The inaugural Design Fair in 2006 was a first for Cornwall, attracting over 3,000 visitors from across the country. The Hidden Art Cornwall Design Fair will present contemporary design from over 100 designer-makers, with a wide range of furniture, interior products, ceramics, glass, lighting, jewellery, textiles and fashion accessories for sale. 28th - Country Fair, Trereife Park, nr Newlyn, 10am-5pm. A range of attractions will give the event the atmosphere of a traditional country fayre, with a companion dog show, heavy shire horses, and the Western Hunt horses and hounds. A range of classic cars will be on display and visitors will be welcome to browse an array of food, craft and trade stalls, while local Jazz bands provide the soundtrack. 4th - 5th - Gorseth Kernow. This year St Ives will be hosting the Gorseth Kernow (Open Gorsedd), the Gorsedd exists to maintain the national Celtic Spirit of Cornwall. This organisation promotes the study of the Cornish language as well as Cornish literature, histrory, art and music. The ceremony will be held on the Island in St Ives.

8th - 13th - Camborne Music Festival
20th - 21st - Trereife Christmas Gifts Fair, Trereife House, nr Newlyn, 10am-5pm. The weekend kicks off in magical style with a series of demonstrations and a programme of entertainment, as well as an art exhibition in the Gallery. The Craft Fair will take place all under cover in heated marquees and over the course of the weekend, visitors may browse a range of quality art and craft. A selection of local food suppliers will be on hand to tickle your taste buds, making it the perfect opportunity to stock up on an array of fine foods and drinks for the festive season. Poet’s Cafe will also be serving a selection of homemade refreshments. Should you fancy a diversion from the Christmas gift buying and nibbles, Tim Le Grice will be conducting tours of his historic home, allowing visitors to absorb Trereife’s extensive history while supping on a glass of mulled wine.
